Bardia Wildlife Safari Tour

Bardia, is the largest and most undisturbed of Nepal’s National Parks. Protecting large swathes of the Terai region Bardia is home to an incredible variety of mammals, reptiles and birds. Located in the south-western regions of the country, Bardia is only an hours flight from Kathmandu but it feels like a world away from the bustling city. Visitors can relax as they explore the pristine and untouched natural landscapes of this stunning National Park.

The region is expansive, consisting of a mixture of grasslands and Sal forests. It is bordered by the river Karnali in the west and the Churia range in the north. The Babai river runs right through the park. All of these combined create a unique environment that is the perfect habitat for an array of animals who roam freely throughout.

Whilst visiting Bardia, you will have the chance to observe a number of different types of animals including the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger and Nepal’s famous One-Horned Rhinos. There are estimated to be around 22 royal Bengal tigers and 100 one-horned rhinos at Bardia so spotting these are rare, but don’t be disappointed because there are over 30 different mammals, more than 250 species of birds, and several varieties of reptiles and water animals to see during your stay in Bardia!
